Saint X by Caroline Cabrera
Saint X by Caroline Cabrera is amazingly fun! The book is a series of questions and answers. The questions are scientific. The answers are pure art. The answers make sense, but the logic is sideways and associational. I laughed so many times during the reading, and had trouble putting the book down. And they just keep coming—one after another. It’s really delightful! Buy here.
Why do we yawn?
I need to show you everything— / every sensation I feel—and then / I need to convert you to it. If you / are my friend, you must know / my brain. If not, / you should still listen, politely. / I cannot predict the future / unless you give me a few clues. / Together, we are a cipher / but apart we are two / figure drawings eating yoghurt / in two different towns. I spell / yoghurt your way, as a token / of friendship. My field / of vision reaches only so / far but I think I see you / coming into it.
Can anything escape a black hole?
Of course not. / I told you once before / to forget salvation.
